La Fundación ‘Hijos de Mamá Cumbé’ nace de Tato Marenco. Musico, Compositor y arreglista Barranquillero, tiene como objetivo principal el rescate de la música tradicional del Caribe Colombiano,con el fin de preservar y transmitir la experiencia de los grandes maestros junto a una nueva generación de músicos empeñados en contribuir a la evolución y proyección de este género musical

La banda  "los Hijos de Mamá Cumbé " es la primera iniciativa de produccion musical de la fundacion. Esta es una de las canciones de esta producción.

The foundation ‘Children of Mother Cumbé’ is an initiative founded by Tato Marenco, Colombian Musician, Composer, and musical arranger from Barranquilla. The foundation main objective is to rescue the musical traditions of Colombia’s Caribbean coast, with the aim of preserving and passing on the knowledge of the great masters to the next generation of musicians who are determined to contributing to the evolution and advancement of this musical genre.

The Band ‘Children of Mother Cumbé’   is the first music production initiative of the foundation. This is one the songs of the this production.

"The Children of Mother Cumbé" is a project that aims to celebrate and honour a culture through commitment and love for the music of the Caribbean coast of Colombia.

 ‘Mamá Cumbé’ is our surrogate mother and it is Cumbia that nurtures us!

Our vision is that future generations may discover and spread the wonderful musical legacy developed by our great masters and therefore pay adequate recognition to them, so they are not forgotten and their fantastic work may become the pride of all Colombians and a part of our heritage worth sharing with the rest of the world.

Es Apoyar a los maestros para que puedan mostrar su talento y de esta manera, contribuir a su bienestar económico y social, ya que la mayoría de ellos viven en condiciones de pobreza y marginados.

Our Mission
To provide support to our musical masters so that they can show their talent by means of contributing to their economic and social welfare, as many of them live in conditions of poverty and marginalization.

La fundacion existe para producir y apoyar proyectos musicales y artisticos enfoncados en el rescate, promocion y preservacion de la herencia cultural de la costa Caribeñena colombiana a nivel local e internacional. Tambien trabajaremos en la promocion del trabajo y proyectos de la foundacion atra vez de eventos, conciertos, seminarios y talleres educacionales.


The foundation exists to produce and support Musical and Artistic projects with the focus of rescuing, promoting and preserving the cultural and human heritage of the Caribbean coast of Colombia, locally and abroad. We will also work in the promotion of the foundations work and projects through events, concerts, seminars and educational workshops.
